(No reviews yet) Write a Review

Ancient Irish Oak has been preserved from anywhere between 6,000 to 7,000 years ago in the peat bogs of County Offaly, Ireland.  Peatbogs have played a vital role in the lives of the Irish people for thousands of years.

Of all the trees in Ireland and the British Isles, the Oak tree is known as the king, a tree that was sacred to the Druids and connected to the sacred groves. In Celtic mythology trees were believed to be a connection to the spirit world. Our ancestors believed the trees were a portal between the material world and the underworld. Serving as messengers between the two realms and conferred blessings on those who passed between them. The Celts believed that the Tree of Life was a symbol of longevity, wisdom and strength.  Countless Irish legends revolve around trees. Oak in Irish is 'daur'.

Keyrings are handcrafted and treated with protective wood oils to guarantee water resistance.

Size: approx. 1 1/2" strung on black adjustable cord

Price is for one Bog Oak Pendant
