A Glimpse at Agate!

Agate is believed to be one of mans earliest possessions. Stone Age trinkets as well as spear and arrow tips have been found in prehistoric grave sites. We know from history that Egyptians were mining agate as early as 3500 B.C, and early Sumerians of Mesopotamia made cylinder seals, signet rings, beads and many other objects.  The Agate was thought to give its owner special favor with the gods!
