Smoky Quartz Tumbled Stone

History - Lore:  Queen Elizabeth I's court spiritualist's crystal ball was made from Smoky Quartz which also happens to be the national gemstone of Scotland and whose national sceptre includes a large gemstone on its top, the stone has been considered a sacred stone since ancient times, some say since the time of the Druids.   Ancient use of Smoky Quartz also includes the Romans who would use the stone for carving intaglio seals.  The Sumerians cut and engraved a variety of cylinder seals and used them later as ring seals.  The Egyptians would make beads, scarab figures and other jewelry pieces from quartz.

Smoky Quartz is one of the most effective grounding stones while raising vibrations during meditations. It has a strong link with the earth and base chakra. It is said psychologically that Smoky Quartz aids in lifting depression, fears while bringing around a calmness making it a strong meditation stone to stabilize the body and mind.
